Elizabeth's personal practice began in 2006 as a way to heal from the trauma of losing a loved one. From the first class she found relief and a deep sense of peace and has been practicing regularly since. In 2009 she earned her 200 hr. certification through The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga and her 300 hr. in Yax Yoga Concepts. Elizabeth believes yoga is a great discipline to learn self-acceptance, self-truth, and ultimately love. She emphasizes the importance of self study and the cultivation of an authentic desire to simply experience the body without judgment. She teaches light-hearted yet empowering classes focusing on the balance of strong high-energy poses with soft long stretches. Elizabeth is a wife to a former Navy Sailor and a pet parent to two beautiful dogs.
